imagine rainbow

The book in English with DVD was published in 2009 for the 20th anniversary of the Rainbow Project.

imagine rainbow is a development from the German edition of "Der Erste Regenbogen Katalog" (1999) and describes the work of the Rainbow Project over the last 20 years too. The book includes a DVD with seven films. More information about the DVD here.

The book embodies: The creative spirit of the present with its wealth of images, ideas and fields of experience; portraits of initiatives and innovators with their meaningful and diverse projects. Snapshots of a developed yet ever-growing fleece.

The rainbow: A timeless unifying symbol in the fables, myths, religions and visions of mankind, in science, art, dreamtime and in our everyday lives.

The Rainbow Project: Worldwide projects with Umbul Umbul Flags in the colours of the rainbow; the red thread representing the unity in the diversity of cultures.

Information, stimulus, entertainment and association. Motivation for discussion and, above all, impulses and inspiration for creative activities.

The day marked the much awaited launch of the book 'Imagine Rainbow' by the Swiss author, Thomas Bertschi, and the release of the CD 'Himalaya', compiled by various musicians of Nepal and children from the NGO, Mitrata Nepal. The crowded room was filled with a heavy silence after Thomas's powerful speech. This was followed by a touching performance by the sarangi player, Shyam Nepali. The audience was enchanted."
